Hovedstad Chapter Norwegian Society of Texas

The Norwegian Society of Texas, Hovedstad Chapter, serves the Austin, Texas community by preserving and promoting Norwegian heritage through a diverse range of cultural and social activities. Founded as part of the statewide Norwegian Society of Texas established in 1975, the Hovedstad Chapter organizes regular events and gatherings that celebrate Norwegian traditions and arts. Members and guests participate in annual celebrations including Syttende Mai (Norwegian Independence Day), Midsummer's Day/Sankthansaften, Leif Erikson Day, and Juletrefest, each offering unique opportunities to experience Norwegian culture.
